The benefits of Omega fatty Acids

Omega fatty acids play an essential part in our pet’s development and health, as they are not produced in the body, they must be obtained through the diet.

Omega 6 is needed by both cats and dogs, pet diets can be rich in omega 6 (sourced from animal protein) but low in omega 3.

Omega 3 has been identified as essential for normal growth of both dogs and cats and has been linked as a benefit to neural development during puppy and kitten growth, the immune system, pregnancy and lactation, skin and coat health and joint mobility.

Research carried out by Eukanuba has shown that puppies fed on a rich Omega 3 diet increased their training ability. Salmon Oil contains a healthy balanced level of Omega 3 & 6 (Total Omega 3: 15%, Total Omega 6: 13-16%)

Feeding Guidelines:

Introduce gradually, adding to daily food.

Small Dog: One teaspoon per day. Medium Dog: Two Teaspoons per day. Large Dog: Three Teaspoons per day.

Cat: Half teaspoon per day.

1 Teaspoon = 5ml.

We suggest that the salmon oil, once opened, is to be consumed within a maximum of 3 months.

Not recommended for puppies under 14 weeks old.
